PURPOSE BUILT RESTAURANT APTLY NAMED 'COAST' is a beautiful restaurant is metres away from the golden sands at Coppet Hall, Saundersfoot and boasts unrivalled coastal views. They use locally sourced Pembrokeshire ingredients and with (Michelin Star Chef) Will Holland heading a team of experienced chefs, they prepare dishes with skill, experience and creativity. The owners, Neil and Zoe Kedward, invited RACS to prepare a scheme for the kitchen and bar area in the most functional manner possible. The brief was to ensure all space was maximised and made best use of.
The design catered for all activities including separate wash-up facility, walk-in cold store, food/drink preparation and hot food distribution. RACS’ design was judged the best received, the most competitively priced and consequently accepted. Instructions to proceed were issued shortly after for both the supply and installation of the complete kitchen, extract canopy and adjoining bar area. This premier restaurant’s kitchen required careful consideration in the choice of equipment and materials to ensure the corrosive nature of a beach side location was fully taken into account.
TOP FLOOR SEAFRONT RESTAURANT IN MUMBLES
The sister restaurant to La Braseria in Swansea opened in the prestigious Oyster Wharf development in the heart of Mumbles. The owner Daniel Tercero is a long-standing customer of RACS and we were approached at the early stages of design to create an aesthetically pleasing state of the art kitchen facility. Working in conjunction with local architects Thomas Parry Architects we were able to finalise a kitchen and wash-up area design as well as a bespoke ventilation system that became a stunning “show case” kitchen.
RACS proposed a Hobart Cookline Suite spanning 6.4 metres across the back wall of the kitchen. This included charcoal grills, 4 burner hobs and twin tank fryers as well as Hobart Bonnet Equator and 10 grid combi ovens at
either end. Below are ambient units and above comprises of a bespoke extraction canopy spanning 8.6 metres. It was not going to be an easy fit-out for the RACS installation team with the restaurant location being on the top floor, however the 30 plus years of combined experience within the team ensured it was a professional well-managed job.
ALEXANDER PARK GOLF, GYM & SPA RESORT
This Resort is located between Ledbury and Hereford and has a number of listed buildings, each with a remarkable past. It is a highly popular wedding venue with breath taking views across 140 acres of parkland. The banquet hall offers a function space that can accommodate 180 guests.
The objective was to design and install a modern, energy efficient as well as cost effective kitchen. It needed to allow for a diverse menu and provide for a capacity to meet the numbers anticipated for large scale functions. RACS were appointed and provided a design within budget that satisfied the criteria set by the Directors.
THE FOUNTAIN INN IN PONTARDULAIS
This family run pub, b&b and restaurant business was established over a decade ago with the venue itself steeped in hundreds of years of history. It has been transformed into a stylish restaurant and B&B to provide a new and fresh experience for its customers. The upstairs was re-designed to create a new function suite with bar area as- well as a complete new kitchen facility.
RACS's detailed kitchen layout design allowed the client's objectives to be maximised.
Their vision was to produce delicious meals of consistently high quality and a customer dining experience second to none to be achieved. We provided combination ovens, induction range, ware-washing equipment and ample undercounter bar refrigeration equipment along with bespoke stainless steel tabling and fabrication. Alterations to the existing fresh air make up supply and to their extraction canopy was completed to bring it into line with legal requirements.
